If the car wash is a touchless car wash you'd probably be fine to leave on a roof bike rack like the RockyMounts BrassKnuckles # RKY1201 but if it's a car wash with brushes I would not recommend leaving it on. view full answer...
With the Thule Doubletrack Pro XT Bike Rack for 1-1/4" and 2" Hitches - Hitch Mount # TH92BJ or any other accessory, it is recommended to remove the carrier prior to going through a car wash. The manufacturer's warranty will not cover any damages incurred if you have the bike carrier installed while using an automated car wash. If it's a touchless car wash the risk is lower, but if it's a car wash with brushes then the risk is very high something would happen. view full answer...
My Truxedo representative recommends using hot water, car wash soap and a soft bristle brush to remove that sap. It's going to take some elbow grease, but that should remove it. Once you have the sap removed, Truxedo recommends using their Pro-Tex protectant spray, part # TX1704511 to provide a layer of protection that will prevent sap from sticking next time. view full answer...

I spoke to my contact at Classic Accessories and they recommend warm water with a brush to clean the Classic Accessories Covers # 052963724028. Normally they do not recommend the use of any soaps as that can remove some of the chemicals that the cover has that protect it. view full answer...
I can understand your concern about using cleaners to clean your Classic Accessories RV AC Cover # 052963774108.
Classic Accessories recommends using a mild soap and water solution with a rag to clean their covers. You can use standard soap used to clean your car like the Griot's Garage Super Concentrated Car Wash for Vehicles and RVs # 34911102 making sure sure to dilute the soap with the appropriate amount of water. The soap will go a long way as you will need very little.

The Rhino-Rack MountainTrail Rooftop Bike Carrier - Fork Mount # RBC035 is not recommended to go through a touch car wash. I recommend removing the bike rack prior to the wash which will only take a minute or two. It probably would not need to be removed on a touchless car wash but your warranty would not cover car wash damage. view full answer...
Due to the large size of the Rightline # RL100S30 Sports 3XL rooftop cargo bag, getting it to fit in a household washing machine would be difficult. I spoke with my contact at Rightline, and was told that they recommend cleaning the bag with soapy water and a scrub brush. Rinse the bag thoroughly and allow to thoroughly air dry before storing.
You might be able to find a commercial washer at a laundromat that would accommodate the bag, but my Rightline contact was afraid that a washing... view full answer...

The Rhino-Rack Vortex Aero Crossbar System part # RRVA150B-2, part # RRRLKVA, and part # DK150 which is a fit for a 2010 Ford F150 can be left installed on the vehicle while driving through an automated car wash. However, the automated car wash must be touch-less. If the automated car wash is not touch-less then you would simply need to remove the roof rack which is very simple, just a few bolts per side. That said, this will apply to all roof racks so it is just something you must be caution... view full answer...
Any time you wash a vehicle I would recommend you remove the roof rack so that you can clean the vehicle under the feet as well as the feet of the rack. However, we realize that many people will just leave the rack on the car.
If it's a brushless car wash you could leave the rack on.
Keeping the pads clean under the roof rack is important to prevent any type of scratching of the paint there. view full answer...

For your 2017 Ford C-Max with a naked roof the roof rack I recommend is the Rhino Rack roof rack part numbers # RRVA137B-2, # RRRLKVA, and # DK357 because it installs easily, gives you aero shaped bars which minimizes wind noise, and would work great for the pop up tent application you mentioned. It also would be just fine to get through a car wash. view full answer...
The Pace Edwards Switchblade Retractable Hard Tonneau Cover part # 311-SWCA27A58 is safe to take in the car wash but please keep in mind a touch less is the way to go and Pace Edwards does not recommend waxing the cover so that step should be skipped. With the high pressures of a car wash I suspect there would be water penetration that isn't typical of the cover during normal rain events. The instructions are linked below page 6 and 7 discuss care and maintenance while page 8 covers warranty.

The BAKFlip G2 Hard Tonneau Cover # BAK26207 referenced in your question is confirmed to fit your 2017 Ram 1500 with a 5-1/2 foot bed as long as it does not have the Ram Boxes.
